Controversy as fencing of a police station in Anambra gulps 12 million naira

By Epiphanus Obia

The total sum of 12 million naira was allocated for the completion of the fencing of Agudo police station in Nanka, Anambra state. The said police station occupies the same block as the magistrate court.

An on-the-site assessment in March revealed that the work done does not reflect the amount of money budgeted for the project.

Sunny Obi, a resident, was shocked at the volume of money released for the project. “There's no way this is true, the fence is not even that big for 12 million naira and to even think that the main police building is even still under construction, while a whole 12 million naira was allocated to the fencing of the police station," he said.
